On June 9th, 2024, workers at Keelung's Chaojing Park were busy clearing a landslide that occurred on North Ning Road, Kilometer 70 of Route 2 on June 3rd. The incident caused traffic disruption but has now been cleared up to the second level platform with efforts to speed up the cleanup. However, local businesses within the park and nearby street vendors have been affected, with reduced earnings. Despite some sporadic tourists during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, a hot pot restaurant owner expressed a significant drop in revenue, leading to temporary closures for some. The road is expected to reopen on the 11th after emergency protective measures and road repair are completed.
