Reported about 1 year ago

The 113th Keelung Cup Sea Vacuum Cleaner Competition was held by the Keelung City government on July 5 at the National Museum of Marine Science in order to promote marine ecology conservation and environmental protection. The event attracted more than 42 teams and 161 enthusiastic students and teachers. Participants had to design and assemble their own 'sea vacuum cleaner' to collect floating waste in a simulated offshore environment using remote-controlled boats, challenging their technical skills and creativity. Awards were given to participants from different school levels, and the competition aimed to raise awareness about marine sustainability and encourage innovative solutions to ocean waste problems, with plans to continue promoting the event in the future.
