At the 70-kilometer mark of Taiwan's Highway 2 in Keelung, the roadblock caused by a landslide near the Chaojing Park entrance was cleared and restored for two-way traffic on June 10th at 2 PM. The completion of the roadwork, one day earlier than scheduled, was praised by officials including Minister of Transportation Li Meng-Yan, Keelung Mayor Xie Guo-Liang, and Legislator Lin Pei-Hsiang. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution due to the proximity of the slope area. Ongoing slope protection work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with highway authorities monitoring the area 24/7 to address any emergencies.
