According to Yahoo News on June 10, 2024, the citizen group 'Mountains and Seas Citizens Dismantling Leong Action' has received 16,000 petition signatures in the second phase of the recall campaign against Keelung Mayor Hsieh Kuo-liang. To expand outreach to the public, they are using promotional vehicles and collaborating with delivery personnel to install light boards in delivery boxes for campaign promotion. The deadline for submitting the petition signatures is July 8, with a minimum requirement of 37,920 signatures in the second phase under the Recall Act. The group plans to stop collecting signatures by June 30, and is focusing on offline promotion efforts for citizens less active online.
