The Legislative Yuan conducted a party negotiation on the revised draft of the Electricity Act today regarding freezing electricity prices passed in April, with the DPP and Taiwan People's Party suggesting increasing the proportion of private experts in the electricity price review committee, while the KMT insists that the Legislative Yuan should have the final review power over electricity prices. After the negotiation, the three parties did not reach a consensus, and Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu decided to reschedule the discussions. Various proposals were made by the parties regarding amending the Electricity Act, with differences in opinions between the KMT, DPP, and TPP. The discussions mainly focused on the composition and decision-making process of the electricity price review committee.
