Reported 12 months ago

In response to the Kuomintang (KMT) caucus planning to set up a Mirrors TV investigation team, the People First Party Legislative Yuan caucus convener, Huang Kuo-chang, stated that he neither approves nor opposes. With the parliamentary powers reform in effect, the opposition parties are planning to establish investigation teams to probe into scandals, including the 'Mirrors TV case'. The KMT caucus will form a special investigation team at the Legislative Yuan on the 3rd, and the People First Party caucus aims to establish an investigation committee on the 12th. Huang explained that their focus will be on topics related to the National Development Fund potentially becoming a fund for relief or facilitating collusion between officials and businesses. They will also investigate losses incurred by the fund and alleged improper use of Chinese-made equipment in Taiwan. Huang emphasized the need for thorough investigations and compliance with industry development regulations.
