Ko Wen-je, the chairman of the Taiwan People's Party, visited Changhua on June 15 to unveil a joint service center with local legislator Zhang Qi-Kai. During the event, they also held a contest eating guavas, where Ko Wen-je ended up last for eating too slowly. While calling for televised debates on the referendum issue, Ko has been criticized by the green camp for not handling it in the Legislative Yuan committee. Additionally, issues surrounding the Jinghua City floor area ratio have implicated Ko, who maintains his innocence while facing backlash from opposition parties and accusation of administrative responsibility by the investigation group.
