"Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" maintained its lead at the South Korea weekend box office for the second week, while the local crime drama "The Plot" was the highest new release. The total weekend revenues in Korean cinemas were $8.91 million, with "Furiosa" earning $2.24 million and "The Plot" earning $1.39 million over the weekend. The post-COVID recovery in the Korean cinema industry remains slow and incomplete, with a 65% market share for Korean movies in 2024 so far.
