According to a recent poll by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation, President Lai Ching-te's popularity has dropped to 48.2%, a decrease of 9.8 percentage points compared to the previous month. This decline of nearly 10% signifies a loss of around 2 million supporters within Lai Ching-te's first month in office. Various reasons for this significant drop in support are highlighted, including internal issues, ineffective agenda setting, challenges of handling both national affairs and party matters simultaneously, and a lack of outstanding performance in the new cabinet amid parliamentary reform storm.
