In a historic incident, the first case of stowaway individuals saw a mainland Chinese man driving a speedboat into the Tamsui River! Yesterday (6/9) around 11 am, a man in his 60s from mainland China drove a boat from Fujian, switched to a speedboat, and directly rammed into the Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf in New Taipei City, even colliding with a ferry. Upon landing, he was immediately arrested by the Coast Guard, detained after questioning, and claimed that he was restricted from leaving China due to improper speech and sought to stow away to 'seek freedom.'
