A large fire broke out at a continuous tin factory in Wugu District, New Taipei City on the night of June 30, 2024, with flames visible around 7 p.m., sending thick black smoke into the sky. Firefighters mobilized 75 vehicles and 205 personnel for the rescue operation, estimating the burning area to be around 500 square meters. Concerned about the risk of spreading, additional firefighting teams were dispatched to contain the blaze.
