After bidding farewell to the last and only graduating student, the Hudong Branch School of Nan Sixin National School in Tainan City, established in 1924, will officially close in August this year due to the impact of declining birth rates. The school had only six remaining students in grades three to six in the 112th academic year, with no new admissions over the past two years. The last graduating student, Xu Ruijun, received the Tainan City Mayor's Sports Award during the graduation ceremony, marking the end of an era for the school.
