Last month, a legislative battle for parliamentary powers took place in Taiwan's Legislative Yuan. Despite over 100,000 people protesting against the tough amendment, the blue and white coalition managed to pass the amendment bill. A recent poll by TVBS Poll Center shows that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has the highest satisfaction rate at 35%, but the dissatisfaction rates for all three parties are around 50%. The DPP's approval rating has risen to 35%, with the Kuomintang (KMT) at 34% and the Taiwan People's Party at 30%. However, the dissatisfaction rates for all three parties are around 50%. In terms of trustworthiness and concern for public opinion, the DPP ranks first among the three parties. Despite leading in most indicators, the satisfaction rate of DPP legislators is only 33%, the lowest among the three parties.
