According to SETN News, in ancient times, Su Lin wrote only one poem consisting of two lines to catch the attention of Fan Zhongyan, a prominent figure of the Northern Song Dynasty. Su Lin, known as the laziest poet in history, wanted to showcase his talents and finally gained recognition through these two lines of poetry. Fan Zhongyan, after realizing Su Lin's hidden message in the poem, recommended him for promotion due to his capabilities. Despite his talent, Su Lin lost interest in poetry after getting promoted, leaving behind these two lines that became classics and even led to the idiom 'near the water pavilion,' signifying gaining advantages by being close to someone or something.
