Lee Sung-min Admits Not as Handsome as Jung Woo-sung, Kang Dong-won; Brave to Portray 'Tough Handsome Guy'

Reported 12 months ago

In a recent interview, Lee Sung-min revealed his initial dilemma upon seeing the Korean original title 'Handsome Guys' as he thought actors like Jung Woo-sung or Kang Dong-won would be more fitting for a role related to handsomeness. However, he bravely embraced the challenge and portrayed a 'handsome guy' character alongside Lee Hee-joon in the South Korean comedy film 'The Culprit.' Despite not considering themselves as handsome as actors like Hyun Bin or Kang Dong-won, the director believed their ability to embody both 'good' and 'evil' sides of the characters made them perfect for the roles. Lee Sung-min put great effort into embodying his character's rugged appearance, even intentionally tanning his skin for the role, while Lee Hee-joon showcased his versatile acting skills. The film is set to be released in Taiwan on July 5th.
