On June 20, 2024, as the Parliament reform deliberation vote approaches, the 'Green Bird Action' and 'Blue Eagle Action' by the green and blue camps set up protest sites across the street from each other, with Central Police Bureau Director Zhang Jia-Huang announcing the deployment of 500 police officers for security. Barricades will separate the two factions, with one group gathering west of Qingdao East Road overpass, and the other on the east side of Linsen South Road. Police will facilitate separation and traffic control to ensure a peaceful assembly and participant safety, urging rationality, freedom of expression, and warning against violence among the different groups.
