The Legislative Yuan recently passed certain articles of the Legislative Yuan Powers Exercise Act, with the Presidential Office approving the executive's review case and sending it to the Legislative Yuan. The Legislative Yuan will convene party caucus consulations on the processing of the review on June 21, completing the report matters in the morning and proceeding to a roll call vote. Regardless of the outcome, the Presidential Office essentially respects the voting results, with President Lai Ching-teh looking forward to effective dialogue with the ruling and opposition parties and engaging with society quickly. Pan Meng-an, Secretary-General of the Presidential Office, met with Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu along with other officials and expressed belief in the effectiveness of dialogue between the ruling and opposition parties for a broader legislative scope. The Presidential Office maintains a stance of upholding the constitution and legal procedures for any future relevant legislative agenda.
