Lincoln Wax Figure Melts in Extreme Heat Wave

Reported 8 months ago

In a US elementary school in Washington, a 6-foot tall wax figure of Abraham Lincoln designed by artist Sandy Williams IV melted due to a massive heat wave affecting the country, with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit in many areas. The head of the wax figure tilted back due to melting, and efforts to reposition it failed, eventually resulting in its removal for temporary preservation and planned reattachment the following day. Over 100 million people in the US faced high temperature alerts on Sunday, but relief is expected as the heat wave is forecasted to gradually subside.
