A ransomware incident affecting London's hospitals, notably Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, and primary care services in south east London, has been reported by NHS England London region. Following an attack on Synnovis, the healthcare system is collaborating with the National Cyber Security Centre to assess the full extent of the disruption. This incident is reminiscent of a 2017 cyber attack on England's NHS that resulted in thousands of appointments being canceled.
