On June 15, 2024, at 6:55 PM, Tzu Chi volunteers who had been providing relief aid since Typhoon Rai in 2021 in the severely affected Baohe Island in the Philippines witnessed a heartwarming continuation of support from the once-affected residents. Many residents, now in a better position, reciprocated by collecting donations in bamboo containers to help others in need. The Mayor of Roxas Town, Raymond Jala, expressed gratitude and emphasized the transformation from receiving aid to becoming a giving community, reflecting the spirit of Tzu Chi's ongoing efforts in the region.
