The earthquake, with a depth of 17 kilometers, was considered extremely shallow. The strongest intensity of 4 was felt in areas such as Yliao, Hualien City, and Hehuanshan in Nantou County. The bureau issued a national-level warning for Hualien and provided intensity details for various regions across the country.
