Makino Milling Machine of Japan announced it has received binding acquisition proposals that compete with an unsolicited offer from Nidec. These proposals include bids from MBK Partners and NSSK, leading Makino to request that Nidec delays its tender offer set for April 4 to May 9 or later. Nidec had previously proposed a 257 billion yen bid for Makino, representing a substantial premium.
