On June 9, 2024, at around 4 p.m., a male body dressed in a grey short-sleeved shirt and grey jeans was found floating near the Golden Waterfront in Tamsui, New Taipei City. After being discovered by tourists who worried about a potential drowning, the fire department arrived at the scene, retrieved the body, and the police are now working to identify the deceased man and determine the cause of death.
