On June 19, 2024, male star Tang Zhiping, 73, had his deceased mother found in the rooftop of a community building in Danshui. While the authorities concluded it was his mother, Tang firmly stated that the body was not his mother's. He made a sudden appearance on SET TV, kneeling down and exclaiming 'I've said it 800 times, it's not my mother.' Tang Zhiping refused to identify the body leading to it being temporarily kept in a funeral home. He expressed anger at being pressured to identify the body, insisting his mother was missing and hoping for job opportunities. (Source: TVBS)
