A 50-year-old man surnamed Yang in New Taipei City randomly attacked a police officer surnamed Yang with a brick for unknown reasons inside the Jincheng Police Station on the night of June 22 last year. Officer Zheng dodged the attack, resulting in a minor injury to his left ear. Yang was sentenced to 2 months in prison for damaging public property. The incident caused damage to the wall behind the duty station. The attack was deemed as a challenge to public authority and disrupted normal police operations, impacting public property security and the dignity of law enforcement officials.
