A man in Changhua surnamed Chen found a Taiwan Power Company staff ID and called as instructed on the card, but was shocked when the person on the other end demanded he send it back and bear the postage cost, claiming it's only a few dozen yuan. Taiwan Power Company clarified that the message of bearing postage cost to return the ID was a mistake and they will cover the expenses. The company's section chief promptly apologized, retrieved the ID, and promised to enhance employee training. They also mentioned the inappropriate attitude of the outsourced security company's staff who answered the call. The incident occurred in Changhua City on Siwei Road, where Chen was ready to return the ID out of goodwill until the demanding response led to a confrontation over the postage fee.
