A 51-year-old man surnamed Lin went missing after diving for seaweed in the intertidal zone near Magang Fishing Port in Gongliao District, New Taipei City. His body was discovered 2 days later in a rock crevice about 50 meters from the fishing port. Lin was wearing full diving gear at the time, and the cause of death is still under investigation. Rescue teams had searched for him with helicopters, drones, and patrol boats before finding his body.
