On July 2, 2024, rescuers near the Hua Jiang Pier found the body of a man who had gone missing for three days floating in the river, suspected to be the same man who fell from the bridge on June 30. The man, surnamed Lin, left home in anger after an argument with his wife and was later found dead after falling into the river. Despite two days of search efforts, he was only located on the third day. Family members confirmed his identity, and further investigations are needed to determine the cause of death.
