In Pennsylvania, a man was attacked by bees outdoors, with a bee's stinger directly piercing his right eyeball. Emergency medical attention removed most of the stinger, but some remained deep in the eye, causing a significant decrease in vision, swelling, inflammation, and blood clot. After using magnifying glasses and fluorescent dyes, doctors successfully removed the tiny poisonous stinger, allowing the man's vision to improve five months later. Instances of bee stings to the eyes are rare, with this case highlighting the importance of timely medical intervention to prevent blindness.
