Renowned filmmaker Martin Scorsese is embarking on a project to create a documentary about shipwrecks off the coast of Sicily, returning to his ancestral roots in Polizzi Generosa. The untitled documentary, inspired by archeologist Lisa Briggs's work on maritime artifacts, will be filmed in Sicily over the summer, with the collaboration of local officials and museums.
