Reported 12 months ago
A massive rockfall occurred near the Hanben Station on the Suao-Hualien Highway (Taiwan Provincial Highway 9) at 50 kilometers, blocking both directions. The clearance operation is underway, but the exact time for full reopening remains uncertain due to continuous heavy rain. The affected section from Nan'ao to Chongde had previously experienced mudslides on July 1, delaying the anticipated reopening from noon on the 2nd to an estimated time of 2 p.m. on the 3rd. The recent rockfall, with boulders around 3 meters high, fortunately caused no casualties. Stay tuned for updates from Sanli News.
