Despite expecting slower wage growth compared to inflation, 65% of respondents in Taiwan are still willing to spend on sports, leisure entertainment, and beauty to invest in their appearance, physique, and health, according to a survey by Mastercard. People are also looking into smart ways to save on daily expenses such as choosing discounted options and reducing non-essential spending frequency. The survey also reveals that a significant portion of the population, especially the younger generation, is actively involved in financial planning and spending on beauty and skincare.
