Actor Matthew Modine has spoken out against Amazon for altering the iconic poster of Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket on the movie's digital rental/purchase page. The original poster featured a military helmet with the words 'BORN TO KILL,' worn by Modine's character Pvt. Joker, along with a peace symbol. Modine argued that by removing this critical element, the artwork's meaning regarding 'the duality of man' is lost. He took to Twitter to express his disappointment and hopes Amazon will rectify the error by reinstating the original poster art.
