President Lai Ching-te attended an elderly care event with former and current Health Ministers Chen Shizhong and Qiu Taiyuan, respectively, but they had no interaction. Apart from this, a legislator exposed a hospital offering priority beds for a fee of 6000, causing concern about the cancellation of registration fee caps leading to medical chaos. Qiu Taiyuan promised to further investigate the situation. Both incidents shed light on the issue of medical bribery in Taiwan.
