Artist Wu Danru's Little Bear Room, located by Meihua Lake in Yilan, will be closing at the end of July, after operating for nearly 14 years. Wu has decided to lease the space, hoping for a chain restaurant or a business specializing in Western cuisine and cafes to take over. The building, bought by Wu in 2010, was originally transformed into the restaurant 'Little Bear Room,' named after her daughter. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wu initially planned to close but handed over management to her sister-in-law. The Little Bear Room will cease operation on July 31, with the online selling of products continuing. Despite a steady flow of tourists in the scenic area, Wu emphasizes the challenges of running a business due to a lack of manpower and encourages potential lessees to continue the legacy of the cherished establishment.
