Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation has faced backlash for using a large stainless steel ball to beautify a ventilation opening near the Kaohsiung Train Station. The metal material easily absorbs heat in the summer, causing temperatures to exceed 40 degrees Celsius and creating reflections that disturb the public. Despite promises to adjust the design, the company overlooked the hot climate in Kaohsiung, leading to criticism for spending on a project that lacked consideration and might require significant additional expenses to rectify.
