During Build 2024 on June 11, Mashdigi announced an AI-driven 'Recall' feature aiming to track users' past content access like a 'Timeline,' addressing concerns by assuring the feature operates locally on user devices without cloud data uploads. Users will have control over activation, requiring authentication to browse past content and ensuring privacy. To be released in late June, users of 'Copilot+ PC' can decide to enable 'Recall.' Microsoft emphasizes local operation, no cloud storage, AI model training, or ensures data removal, with content accessible via Windows Hello authentication for increased security.
