Academia Sinica Academician Wang Ping points out the disappearance of the middle class, linking it with the concentration of high-paying industries, unsuccessful education reform systems, and tax systems. The widening wealth gap and the disappearance of the middle class are related to the deterioration of wealth distribution. Issues such as high incomes being too concentrated, the need for educational reforms, and tax system revisions are discussed as crucial in addressing the challenges faced by the middle class in Taiwan.
