A male staff officer surnamed Wang from the Military Intelligence Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense in Taiwan was given a major demerit after forcibly hugging a female colleague without consent in a parking lot four years ago. The female colleague filed a sexual harassment complaint, leading to Wang voluntarily leaving the military with a low performance evaluation score of 'C'. Wang sued the bureau but lost the case in court, with judges ruling that his actions constituted a violation of the female colleague's wishes and that the bureau's disciplinary actions were justified.
