Kenya Koshimizu, co-head of Mizuho Financial Group's global markets division, has called for the Bank of Japan to accelerate its bond tapering process. With the possibility of a pause in interest rate hikes due to global economic uncertainties, Koshimizu suggests the BOJ can be more flexible in adjusting its tapering strategy. This comes as the BOJ plans a review of its bond purchasing strategy amidst concerns about the shrinking liquidity in the debt market and the impact of U.S. policy changes.
