Pittsburgh Pirates' top draft pick, Paul Skins, performed well with 9 strikeouts in 6 innings against the Atlanta Braves but was unable to secure a victory as Braves ultimately won 2-1 in extra innings. Skins impressed Braves' coach Snitker with his confidence despite the loss, and has a total of 61 strikeouts in his first 8 MLB games, ranking 6th since 1893 in the league. The game ended with a 1-1 tie after 9 innings, and Braves won with a walk-off hit in the 10th inning.
