AS Monaco midfielder Mohamed Camara receives four-match ban for concealing anti-homophobia logo

Reported 6 months ago

AS Monaco midfielder Mohamed Camara has been banned for four matches by the Ligue de Football Professionnel in France for covering an anti-homophobia logo on his kit during a match. Camara also refused to join a team photo where players posed in front of the campaign logo promoting awareness against homophobia. Despite calls for strong sanctions from the French Sports Minister, the Mali Football Federation supported Camara, emphasizing players' rights. Camara will now miss the first four games of the upcoming season, and AS Monaco stated that his actions were not representative of the club.
