Neon celebrated success with their film 'Babes' in the US, as it expanded to 590 screens and earned an estimated $1.06 million during the three-day weekend. The film, directed by Pamela Adlon, follows the story of childhood friends facing adulthood challenges, and stars Ilana Glazer and Michelle Buteau. Other successful indie films include A24’s 'I Saw The TV Glow' and Imax Doc 'The Blue Angels', while new release 'Kidnapped: The Abduction of Edgardo Mortara' also showed promising numbers. Additionally, holdovers like 'Evil Does Not Exist' and 'Wildcat' continued to perform well in the specialty box office.
