Huang Shang-feng became dissatisfied when Zhang Jintu, caught for drug trafficking, was sentenced to life imprisonment, leading to a murder plot. After being shot twice during a drug deal, turning lame, Huang's character changed as he believed survival in the drug market required ruthlessness to avoid being bullied. He escalated by arming himself, using drug profits to gain control across legal and illegal sectors. Despite efforts by law enforcement, Huang escaped to China, causing a drug shortage and price surge in central and southern Taiwan. Despite accomplices being arrested, Huang evolved into an international drug lord, remotely controlling Taiwan's drug market.
