Motorcyclist in New Taipei City Narrowly Escapes Injury from Explosive Attack

On July 2, 2024, a 38-year-old man surnamed Xue in New Taipei City had his motorcycle damaged when someone threw what appeared to be firecrackers onto the road while he was passing by. The incident, captured on a dashcam, resulted in a loud explosion, causing Xue to almost crash. Xue reported the incident, and the police are investigating the case, targeting the vehicle involved and planning legal actions under the Public Order Maintenance Act. The reckless act endangered public safety.
