Starting from July 1, this year's summer climbing season on Mt. Fuji's Yoshida trail in Yamanashi Prefecture will see new measures such as a limit of 4,000 visitors per day and a new entry fee of 2,000 Japanese yen per person to address overcrowding issues caused by the increasing number of climbers, including foreigners. These regulations are aimed at managing the influx of visitors and ensuring safety on the mountain, which has faced challenges like overcrowding and disrespectful climbing behavior in the past.
