In Kaohsiung's Renwu District on June 27, 2024, a traffic light on Shuiguan Road suddenly caught fire, with sparks falling like a 'fire waterfall.' The left side emitted flames and black smoke, burning even road signs and parts, with sparks continuously falling resembling a waterfall, until the entire traffic light box was engulfed in flames. The Kaohsiung City Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire, and there were no injuries. The incident was attributed to a malfunction in the traffic light equipment, unrelated to Taipei Power Company's power supply. Further investigation is needed to clarify the exact cause.
