Natalie Portman stars and produces in the new limited drama series 'Lady in the Lake,' her first lead role in a TV series, based on the best-selling novel by Laura Lippman. Set in 1966 Baltimore during Thanksgiving, the show intertwines the fates of two women as Portman's character, a determined investigative journalist, delves into a mysterious death, leading to a deadly conflict. Directed and produced by Alma Har'el, known for the visually aesthetic 'Honey Boy,' the series is a suspenseful dark thriller with a narrative about the sacrifices women make in pursuit of their dreams. The cast includes Moses Ingram and premieres globally on July 19th.
