At a press conference held by the Nationalist Party yesterday, they accused the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) of obstructing parliamentary reform bills to highlight their double standards. The DPP is hosting a street lecture tonight in Hualien under the theme of 'Fighting Against Abuse of Power, Protecting Democracy'. The Nationalist Party's deputy spokesperson criticized the DPP for protecting President Tsai Ing-wen and government officials, labeling their actions as the 'Mommy's Boy Action'. They also questioned why the central government does not accept legislation that criminalizes disrespect towards the parliament, when DPP party councils at the local level have proposed such legislation.
