The Nationalist Party is actively planning to establish local party branches to promote the necessity and correct information about parliamentary reform, starting from Tainan where Lai Ching-te once governed. They are organizing speaking events in response to the Democratic Progressive Party's distortion of parliamentary reform, aiming to hold at least one event in each city and county, with the first on June 15 in Tainan. The Nationalist Party criticizes the DPP for disregarding parliamentary oversight and continuing to sow social division, asserting that this legislative effort is the third wave of democratic reform in Taiwan to establish a parliament that truly represents majority democratic principles.
